hello doctor, hello pain

Today we went to the doctor for Aiden's 9 month appointment. He was so excited to see his nurse, Julie and I was so excited no shots. Boy was I wrong....9 MONTH APPOINTMENT WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the worst appointment by far, Aiden has always done good with shots but not surprise ones obviously. We were not expecting shots today but we did have to have the flu shot which was not too bad. But before that shot we had to have his finger pricked for blood to be taken. She had to fill half a tube full of blood from his little finger. He just looked up at me for 3 minutes with tears streaming down his face as this woman held him down and squeezed every bit of blood from his finger, then attempts to put a band aid on it. The rest of the hour and half at the doctor where filled with screaming and crying until he finally feel asleep in my arms. Then of course guess who comes in... the doc! She wakes him up, pulls on his ears, takes his diaper off, and all the other mean things doctors do...haha just kidding Shanna and Laura! She finally picked him up held and calmed him down, then said FLU SHOT!! Needless to say, it was a sad day in Aiden and my life! However on the plus side he weighs 21 pounds and 28" long!
Because we are now having a problem getting Aiden to eat baby food (he only wants what we eeat) I was relieved she told us he could go to all solid foods!

On a good note we move into our new home tomorrow!

What's going on???

If you read my other post I thought I would let you know I have totally thrown Aiden for a curve.....I changed Brandon's ringtone. Brandon leaves for work at 4:30 and we don't go to school until 8 which is when Brandon calls every morning. I'm trying to get Aiden used to this new ringtone because Aiden knows every morning before we go to school daddy calls (I always let Brandon tell Aiden he loves him and to have a good day at school-one day he'll understand).

Just a funny info I thought I'd let you know!

Learning so much

Aiden has learned in just one week- the small things are so amazing to me. I can't believe how much he has grown. Almost 9 months old, time has flown by.

A few things I have to mention:
I was holding him and got ready to put him down to play, I simply began to turn him around, he grapped my neck and shirt and refused to turn around to be put down. He really needed some mommy hold me time. Sadly he has really really turned into a Momma's Boy.

When my phone rings Brandon's ring tone, Aiden smiles very big and says "DADADADA". Everytime Brandon calls I let Aiden "talk to daddy", I guess he has related the ringtone to Brandon.

A few people have asked about our home so I thought I would give an update. The home is coming on along. I have pictures and will get them up very soon. They have it painted and the flooring is getting laid this week. We move 2 weeks from Friday. We are thrilled and can't wait to get organized...except Aiden may not adjust well- he has gotten attached to his Daddy Jim and Gram (Brandon and I acutally have too).
Don't worry dad I will bring him over every morning so you can have your "copycat time". (This consist of one of them screaming, grunting, or singing and waiting for the other to it back and this will go on for 5 mintues or more. Aiden will ONLY do it with his Daddy Jim.)

Miracle Child

Let me first start by telling everyone Sawyer is here. He was born this morning at 10:38. he weighed 7.8 lbs and 19". Linds ended up having a c-section and both are doing great. He is our miracle baby....let me explain. You will see in the photos Jay and Linds other 2 children Quinton and Wyatt (2 years old and 1 year old brothers), also huge blessings. For 6 years Linds had so many complications with carrying to term. They decided to adopt and we got Quinton; 10 months later Wyatt was born from the same birth mother and Jay and Linds of course adopted him too. Jay and Linds never lost hope of her carrying to term and started seeing a specialist. What an awesome man he was cause Linds was able to carry a baby to term.....
