MOVING DAY

Tomorrow is moving day! We are so excited in a way but not in way because we are still so unsure of where we are going! Please continue to pray God shows us where we need to be.

Today Aiden made his weekly doctors visit- yes the doctor AGAIN! No actually the doctor wanted to see him again about his reflux because it has continued to get worse. She was afraid he might be getting dehydrated- definitely not the child weighs 20 LBS!! However she did let us know he has GERD- Gastroesophageal reflux disease:

He is on medicine and will check back in 2 weeks to see if he has any improvement.

Play Time

Loving his new toy that Gram got him. He actually enjoys putting them straight in the mouth!

Smiling big for the camera- what a ham!
He fell over so he could play with his toes!
Aiden hates sitting up because he can't reach all his toys. He scoots everywhere and would rather lay on his back and play because then he can enjoy his toes, toys, and roll or scoot on his tummy to anywhere he wants to go. We have been trying to show him if he would just put his feet under his belly he could crawl there so much faster. It won't be long before he gets the hang of it and is off- I'm not thrilled about that!

Weekend wrap

What a great weekend we had to spend together. Brandon was actually off this weekend for the first time in awhile. We got lots of packing done and some boxes actually moved. We still have a long way to go, since we don't know where we are moving it makes the packing hard. We got to go see Brody (our friends David and Gingers baby boy). He is doing well and hopefully will get to come home this week.

Funny highlight of the weekend: Saturday morning i was getting ready to go spend time with my family and Aiden actually awoke 30 minutes early from his nap. Brandon went to check on him and try to get him back to sleep to finish out his nap. After I finished getting ready (30 minutes later- Aiden's wake time) I realized Aiden was no longer crying and Brandon was no where to be seen. I ran in Aiden's room to check on him and below is what I found:

You can see the excitment when I woke them up!

MOMMY OR DADDY????

So since Aiden was born everyone says " He looks just like his daddy". Well below are pics from Brandon and I (Renee) as babies, who does he resemble more? The first 2 pics are of Brandon as a baby, then Aiden, then the last 3 are of me as a baby

HALF A YEAR OLD!!!!!

Holding his own bottle!
Hangs off his seat!!

Aiden is now half a year old. I can not believe how quickly time has flown by. He has his 6 month check up he is now 19 lbs and 11 ounces. BIG BOY!! He did so good for his shots, he just let out a small whimper. I quickly comforted him and he was fine and ready to go to school. The doctor did fill us in on a tid bit of important news. Aiden does not have asthma he has acid reflux- WHAT A RELIEF! It is something that can be helped with a little prevacid. She feels he was diagnosed with asthma because of the weezing but the weezing was cause from the acid reflux. It would also explain his constant need to spit up and throw up, which all babies do but Aiden's just is all the time. She also said the acid reflux can cause ear, nose, and throat problems- which is the reasoning behind his runny nose and congestion he has had since birth. I for one time in 6 months left the doctor feeling relief. I finally know whats wrong with my son.

On another note- we are moving in with my parents on next Friday. We will be closing on our home next week. We are so incredibily excited to have sold our home and I am so excited to go live with my parents for a little while but the home search is not looking good. Continue to remember us as we search for a home.

On a final note, please remember to keep Brody Dorris in your prayers. Brody is the son of Brandons best friend - David and his girlfriend Ginger Burch. Brody was born 6 weeks early and is doing fantastic but is still in the NICU feeding through a tube so his lungs can continue to develop. We are so excited Brody has made his grand entrance and can not wait to meet him.
Outside of the many new kids in our family we also have a couple of other close friends expecting. Ashley and Ryan Zwacki (Ashley and I have been best friends for 6 years) find out next Friday August 1 if Baby Z is a boy or girl. Ashley is due Dec. 25- Christmas baby!
Shanna and John Lee just found out they are expected 1 baby due in March (she was thinking it was multiples). Thats a miracle baby and a very high risk pregnancy due to Shannas battle with endometriocis for many years. CONGRATULATIONS to all our friends and you are in our prayers.

SOLD!!

Well this week is the week of Aiden's 6 month birthday. I can not believe he is already half a year old! It's amazing how much he has grown in just 6 months. He loves rolling across the floor, from one end of the living room to the other. He is able to sit up and play with his toys (they usually just go straight in the mouth). Still no teeth but he sure shows all the signs of teething. We have recently discovered Aiden's hatred for being rocked. He hates to be confined to my arms. He would prefer just to be laid in his bed and go to sleep on his own, which is just fine with me. He goes down to sleep near 8 and will sleep until 7 the next morning when I wake him for his bottle, which by the way he feels he has to hold his own bottle. MR. INDEPENDENT!!!! He has eaten all the number 1 veggies and has now started eating fruit, we have not found anything he will not eat.
Our family has finally gotten past the sickness. Aiden still continues to do his breathing treatments but I'm hoping at his 6 month check up she will let us stop. I have soo many pics to post and just never at the right computer to post them. Hopefully soon I will get some up.

You may wonder what the title means- SOLD? Well after one week of our home being for sale, it is SOLD! We close Friday and we are excited but we have NO clue where we are going to live. For the time we will live with my parents and hopefully we will find something soon. We had no idea we would sale our home this quickly. Keep us in your prayers as we search for the right home for our family!

SICK WEEK

This has been a rough week in the Cox household. Monday Aiden started getting sick, Tuesday Brandon got sick, Thursday I did. Luckily Brandon is all better now and can take care of Aiden so I can get my rest. Nothing is harder than takin care of a sick baby when you are sick yourself. Aiden went to the doc Thursday and we had to do x-rays the doctor was worried he had pneumonia. Thank goodness they came back clear and he doesn't. Unfortuantly we are having to give him breathing treatments which he hates.

I'm very bummed tonight it my friend Julie Prince wedding and of course all my friends from college are home and I won't get to attend. :( Tomorrow we have a church softball game and I'mn guessing I will miss that also. Being sick is just no fun!

Bringing the weekend to a wrap

Well we had an eventful Independence Day Weekend! Friday we went to Medina to watch to fireworks show and Aiden happened to fall asleep right as we got there. I was really afraid the fireworks would scare him but he actually awoke right before they began and loved them. We met up with my cousin and her girls, Emma and Eliza. Emma just loved to fireworks but couldn't understand why she was an American and she was born in Tennessee. :)

Saturday was a rough day for Aiden, he has started teething. His gums are so white and I expect a tooth to pop through anytime! He cried all morning long and wouldn't nap. Finally at 1 we decided to bring his swinh outside and he was out until 5 when I woke him! :) He finally was an angel the rest of the night. My parents had our family over to their house on Saturday it was so interesting with all the kids (7 kids- last year there was only 3). It was really fun and we enjoyed seeing everyone! Today we will enjoy the day relaxing and not doing too much!

July 4th Weekend

Yah finally Aiden's 1st Independence Day! I'm excited about spending the weekend with my family and seeing all the new babies in the fam! We are planning on going to Medina Friday night to watch the fireworks with my cousins and Saturday hanging out at my parents with all the cousins! It always makes for a fun timee when the Bardens/Stephensons get together. You never really know what will come of it. I can't wait to post pics from the weekend!

Aiden update: Aiden has started to FINALLY sleep through the night again (he hasn't since he was a baby). We now just lay him in his bed and he goes right to sleep for the night. It's so nice to finally get some sleep. He now has ate all his orange veggies and will be starting on the greens this weekend! He is rolling, sitting up, and babbling so much. He finally started laughing out loud (I'm not too sure why it took him so long to laugh out loud) and it makes me laugh so hard to hear him. He loves to be naked, whether it's getting his diaper changed, clothes changed, bathing, or playing in the pool. He now weighs 18.5 lbs (chunk) and 25" long. He is growing so much and we just love watching him learn new things everyday!

I'm never going to remember to update this thing! :)

Not too much has changed in our lives. I have a new niece, Ella, she is the daughter of my brother, Brian, and sister in law, Carolyn. She is just precious. I have posted a few pics of the proud daddy!

Brandon and I have now began our search for a new home. We are wanting to move to Medon which is the half way point of Bolivar and Jackson. It will then make things easier for us both as far as driving to work. However now that we will be moving we will also have to get Brandon something different to drive thats not as big a gas drinker as his vehicle now. Oh and I'm also still in search for a new job. Talk about some stress!! :)
