Kids Shorts Tutorial

Ok so I promised a few weeks ago to show you my new project. SORRY! I'm so delayed. In 2 short weeks I will be through with school and off to the beach. When I return from the beach I plan on spending a lot of time learning more about sewing but until then I will let you see my newest shorts I made for Aiden. I have really gotten into a bloggers blog and love learning new things from her over at MADE, she did this tutorial a few weeks ago during her Boys week. I used her pattern exactly as she had it except I cut the legs a little shorter to make Shorts! I did realize after making this first pair that if you are going to make shorts you need to edit the pattern a little and make the legs a little wider up top. Luckily Aiden has bird legs like his daddy and this wasn't a problem for us. My pictures turned for some reason but you can get the idea. I'm not going to include the instructions because you can get them from Danas tutorial. I don't want to copy her.

The pattern ready to be cut

Shorts with the leg cuff ready to sew and they will be complete. My next post will include the pair completed and my little man posing in them. I really hope to get better at this blog thing and learn how to better post. I have another pair of shorts I am making now. I've had shirts made to go with them so I will post that soon too!
